St. Blaise, Industry/Midland
St. Blaise was established on May 28, 1994, as part of the diocese's reorganization and revitalization program. The parish was formed by the merger of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary parish in Midland and St. Christine in Industry. Initially, the parish kept both parishes open. In 1998, the parish council launched a study of the parish ministries. The council determined that the parish did not need to keep both church buildings open. With the approval of the congregation and the diocese, the parish decided to close St. Christine. The last Mass at St. Christine was celebrated on February 6, 2000.
