St. Brigid-St. Benedict the Moor, Hill District

St. Brigid-St. Benedict the Moor parish was established on May 14, 1968.  The parish was formed by the merger of the parishes of St. Brigid and St. Benedict the Moor.  After the merger, the St. Benedict the Moor Church was closed and then torn down.  This parish existed for only nine years.  On July 1, 1977, it was merged with St. Richard to form the new St. Benedict the Moor parish.  The church remained open to serve the new parish.
