St. John of God, McKees Rocks

St. John of God was established in March of 1993 as part of the diocese's reorganization and revitalization.  The parish was formed by merging the parishes of Ss. Cyril & Methodius, St. Francis de Sales, St. Maria Goretti, St. Mark, St. Mary Help of Christians and Mother of Sorrows in McKees Rocks and St. Vincent de Paul in Esplen.  The new parish kept three churches open - St. Mark, St. Mary Help of Christians and Mother of Sorrows.  The other church buildings were closed.
