Proclamationand Witness come alive in the Secretariat by supporting the Diocese of Pittsburgh in her evangelization outreach to parishes, schools, universities and lay organizations and by witnessing to the inherent dignity of every human person.

 

To evangelize does not mean simply to proclaim a doctrine but to make oneself an instrument of Christ’s presence and action in the world.

 

To witness to the dignity of the human person is to educate and advocate on the issues of human life, family life, social justice and global solidarity, reminding us that each life is “intended by God to be lived as the ticket to heaven.” (The Church Living!, §22)
