
On the feast of Corpus Christi in June
2004,
Pope John Paul II announced a Year of the Eucharist.
The Year of the Eucharist began on October 10, 2004 with opening of the World
Eucharistic Congress in Guadalajara, Mexico.
The Secretariat for Education will present
throughout this upcoming year catechetical resources, formation opportunities
and special events that focus on the Eucharist.
