Parish History

St. Richard was established on November 1, 1992.  The parish was founded to meet the needs of the growing population of the area.  Until a church could be built, Mass was celebrated at the chapel of St. Barnabas Nursing Home in Midland.  Ground for the church was broken on May 1, 1994, and the completed church was dedicated on December 17, 1995.
