Jesus loves every single one of us more than we can possibly imagine. An encounter with that love changes who we are and the way we see the world. It also gives us the desire tell others about this love. That what evangelization is: sharing the good news of Jesus' love with others.
This page is your hub for resources that will help you deepen your faith and diocesan initiatives that will teach you how you can evangelize others.

A delicious loaf of bread is a work of art, but it's easy to forget one of its most simple, yet essential ingredients. Leaven is a type of yeast that helps bread to rise after it is added to its dough.
In a similar way, the Leaven Initiative of the Diocese of Pittsburgh equips parishes and lay leaders with the tools they need to rise up and foster successful evangelization initiatives.
Through the Leaven Initiative, the Diocese of Pittsburgh trains leaders in the art of forming intentional disciples so that evangelization becomes self-sustaining at the local level. To accomplish this, the Leaven Initiative works closely with parishes on evangelization activities, sometimes in a partnership capacity.
The Culture Project is a national mission organization that seeks to restore culture by linking it to virtue. Through presentations, compelling personal stories, and 1:1 interactions, the Culture Project missionaries draw young people back to the basic truth that all human lives have inherent dignity and worth, evidenced by Church teachings and biological facts.
After establishing this groundwork, they address chastity, sexual integrity, social media best practices, and virtue. Their work, primarily tailored to youth and young adults, is steeped in St. John Paul II’s teachings on Theology of the Body. Before they begin work, the missionaries undergo extensive training from nationally and internationally renowned medical doctors, psychologists, and theologians.
The Culture Project Missionaries are available to book for in-person and virtual events at parishes, community events, and schools. Missionaries are available to speak to youth, young adults, and parents at schools, parishes, and community events. There is no cost to book them. Click here to learn more.
