The Reverend Kenneth W. RETIREMENT

In accordance with the provisions of the Priest Personnel Policy, and at his request, the Reverend Michael W. Decewicz from Senior Parochial Vicar of Saint Joseph Parish, O’Hara Township; Saint Juan Diego Parish, Sharpsburg; Saint Pio of Pietrelcina Parish, Blawnox/ Harmar; and Saint Scholastica Parish, Aspinwall, to retirement with residence at  the former Saint Francis of Assisi Church property in Harmar, effective Thursday, July 1, 2021. Father Decewicz maintains his assignment as Director of the Addiction Recovery Ministry.

In accordance with the provisions of the Priest Personnel Policy, and at his request, the Reverend Richard J. Thompson is relieved of his responsibilities as Parish Chaplain at Christ the Divine Shepherd Parish, Monroeville/Penn Hills, and Chaplain at Forbes Hospital and UPMC East Hospital, effective Thursday, July 1, 2021.  At the same time, Father Thompson has been granted permission to begin retirement and to take up a private residence at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Retreat Center, Volant, Pennsylvania.

In accordance with the provisions of the Priest Personnel Policy, and at his request, the Reverend Albert L. Zapf is relieved of his responsibility as Senior Priest at Saint Aidan Parish, Wexford, effective Thursday, July 1, 2021.  At the same time, Father Zapf has been granted permission to begin retirement and to take up a private residence.

IN RESIDENCE

The Reverend Hyeong Cheol Lee from residence at Saint Juan Diego Parish, Sharpsburg, to residence at the newly established Christ the King Parish, Lower Allegheny Valley, effective Thursday, July 1, 2021.  Father Lee maintains his assignment as Chaplain to the Korean Catholic Community.
