Saint Bede Catholic School (Point Breeze) has moved from a weather-related 2-hour delay to a closure today due to a bridge collapse in the Point Breeze area over Frick Park. Pittsburgh Public Safety has asked drivers to avoid the area. A strong smell of natural gas has been reported in the area including near the school.
“Many teachers and parents of Saint Bede use that bridge every day. We are so blessed to have been on a 2-hour delay. We thank God no injuries have been reported and pray for all involved,” said Sister Daniela Bronka, Principal.
