The kindergarten class at Saint Gregory Catholic School (Zelienople, PA) will move to remote learning and two additional individuals were quarantined effective November 24, 2020. This action comes after administrators learned today that two people associated with the school community have tested positive for COVID-19. The kindergarten students will resume in-person learning on December 2, 2020.
The school informed parents of the necessary change, and will send updates through their regular channels of communication.
Saint Gregory Catholic School continues to follow all diocesan, local, state, and federal health and safety directives, including wearing face coverings, handwashing/sanitizing, social distancing, self-screening, and cleaning/disinfecting.
“The well-being of our students and staff is our priority. We will continue with our mitigation efforts to deep clean and sanitize the school. We are grateful for our families' support and flexibility as we navigate these uncharted waters. It is our goal to provide in-person learning, but we have the ability to go virtual in situations like this,” said Erin Rice, principal.
