School Safety Officer
FLSA: Full-Time - Exempt
Department: SRCES Regional Security Department
General Summary:
Under the direction of the Regional Coordinator - Security Supervisor you will be responsible for the overall safety and security of students and faculty within the school building and during school events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Recognizes and supports the unique Catholic mission of SRCES by speaking and acting consistent with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.
Continually monitor surveillance cameras.
Conduct regular indoor and perimeter checks.
Take an active role in developing and/or maintaining site-specific emergency plans.
Develop programs to teach age-appropriate safety classes for both Students, Teachers, and Parents ● Perform monthly emergency drills.
Assist the building principal with all matters relating to security.
Maintain communication and working relationships with local first responders.
Maintain a professional attitude and confidentiality.
Participate in regularly scheduled meetings, training, and continued education events.
Other duties as required.
