Celebrating 70 Years of Scouting and Faith
On Sunday, April 6, Saint Paul Cathedral welcomed scouts, families, and leaders from across the Diocese of Pittsburgh for the 70th Annual Scout Convocation Mass.
Bishop David Zubik presided over the liturgy, honoring the longstanding relationship between scouting and Catholic formation. Youth received national Catholic religious emblems such as Light of Christ, Parvuli Dei, Ad Altare Dei, and Pope Pius XII, while adult leaders were recognized with prestigious awards including the Saint George Emblem, Bronze Pelican, and Saint Joan of Arc Award for their exceptional service and spiritual mentorship.
A light reception followed the Mass, offering a chance to celebrate seven decades of faith, service, and community in scouting.
