On April 2, young adults from across the diocese gathered at the Pastoral Center to learn more about a pilgrimage to Rome and Assisi this December in celebration of the Jubilee Year.
The evening began with prayer and personal introductions, followed by a presentation outlining the spiritual and cultural richness of the journey. Over appetizers and drinks, participants shared their hopes—to walk in the footsteps of Saint Francis, to step through the Holy Doors, and to deepen their faith alongside new friends.
This pilgrimage, taking place December 4–12, 2025, is not just a trip—it’s a sacred journey. Pilgrims will explore the great basilicas of Rome, including Saint Peter’s and Saint John Lateran, venerate relics of the Passion, and encounter the peace of Assisi, home to Saint Francis and Bl. Carlo Acutis. Each day offers both prayerful reflection and cultural immersion, allowing participants to experience the Jubilee Year in the heart of the Church.
There’s still time to join us. If you’re a young adult seeking meaning, connection, and renewal, this pilgrimage is for you. Spots are limited and will fill quickly—visit www.tinyurl.com/PittsburghPilgrimage2025 to learn more and reserve your place.
Become a pilgrim of hope. Come encounter Christ in Rome and Assisi.
