Job Title: Youth Minister Status: Part-Time Mary Queen of Saints Parish, Aliquippa Job Description: The Youth Minister will perform a wide variety of activities that aim to form and foster the faith of high school aged youth in Mary, Queen of Saints Parish and help them to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ. The Youth Minister will also work and collaborate with the Religious Education program (K-8), the principal of Our Lady of Fatima School (K-8), and the parish’s Young Adult Group when necessary. Key Responsibilities: ● Create opportunities for fellowship, discipleship, and spiritual development of middle school and high school students and their families ● Serve the parish’s youth through organizing and leading: prayer services, bible studies, retreats, service projects, social events, trips and pilgrimages ● Effective communication with parents and/or guardians of the parish’s youth ● Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers ● Fundraise for major youth ministry events and maintain a budget ● Work in collaboration with the Director of Religious Education and the principal of Our Lady of Fatima School ● Active participation in the life of the parish Qualifications & Skills: ● Knowledge of and fidelity to the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church ● Degree in Theology, Religious Education, Catechetics, or experience in Youth Ministry ● Familiarity with Edge and Life Teen Programs ● Organizational, administrative, and computer skills ● Good “people skills,” an ability to work well staff, parents, teens and parishioners ● Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends Interested Candidates: Please send your resume to Fr.
