Purpose of the Secretariat for Parish Services
The Secretariat for Parish Services exists to support the ministry of the Bishop and provide services and support to the parishes of the Diocese of Pittsburgh.

Values of the Secretariat
In serving parishes and the ministry of the Bishop, the Secretariat for Parish Services has the enduring beliefs that all decisions, behaviors and actions of the office should embody:

• Striving for adaptability, innovation and creativity as we accompany pastors and staff.
• Endeavoring for clear communication across all constituencies.
• Grounding all that we do in prayer.

Priorities of the Secretariat
Priority #1 – To provide support to Pastors and Parishes in their ministry. 
Priority #2 – To provide data driven reports and resources that serve the ministries of the Diocese and its Parishes.
Priority #3 – To support the work of the parishes in Pastoral Planning and in the work with the Catholic Leadership Institute (CLI).
