The Saint Timothy Award is a national award given annually to twelve (12) high school youth throughout the Diocese of Pittsburgh.
The student must be a junior or senior and should exemplify the purpose of our Catholic youth programs by showing particular zeal in the improvement of their own youth ministry program, high school ministry team, or youth work in general within the Diocese.
The nominee must be a practicing Catholic and exemplify the qualities of moral integrity, prayer, good works, and Christian leadership.
Nominations can be made by anyone in the community (using the online form below) but must be endorsed by the Pastor/Administrator or Principal.
Please consider nominating someone with the understanding that nominators are asked to briefly introduce the awardees during the ceremony. The awardee will be notified in advance by mail with information regarding the ceremony. All young people who are nominated will receive a certificate of recognition that can be given at the appropriate parish/school ceremony.
It is important that the nomination form and essay are submitted no later than March 1, 4:00 pm to ensure that the selection process is completed in a timely fashion.
Please contact us if you have any questions. Thank you for your continued care and support for the young Church of Pittsburgh.
